On Friday evening we hired a car. First thing Satureday (around 10) we set off on a road trip around the Western end of Crete. We drove along the coastal strip
The old mosque is on the boardwalk in Hania It is a pale pink colour and has octopus legs coming off it. It looks like a creature standing on a platform. There is a rather amatuer art exhinition showing in it at the moment. To the right of the mosque is our favorite ouzo bar - although now that it is getting busier it is hard to get a seat.
This museam is in the heart of hte old city in Hania and had fabulous exhibits of every day life in ancient times. There was coinage and even childrens toys.
