Friday markets in Turkey

Later I went to the fruit markets and bought some cherries and beautiful vine-ripened red tomatoes. I had a fresh orange juice and ate a delicious Gosleme with spinach and feta. I had a short time to trawl the shops and bought a Turkish towel to use after swimming.

Μετά πήγα στα άγορα για φρούτα και αγόρασα κεράσια και ωράιεςκόκκινες ντομάτες. Ήπια φρέσκο χήμο πορτοκάλιων και έφαγα πιο νωστιμό Γοσλέμε με σπίνακι και φέτα. Είχα επαρχής χρόνος να δώ τα μαγαζιά και αγόρασα μια πετσέτα για να κάνω μετα το κολύμπι.

Beautiful Turkish tomatoes

Today I went to the markets in Turkey. An early start at 8am, then on to a little boat for the short trip across the strait. In half an hour we were on the streets of Kas. We needed to purchase lights for the house. We looked into a number of light shops (stalls really) and couldnt find what we wanted. At last we found some good lamps for the centre of the room and ordered some wall lights. I will collect them next Friday.

Σύμερα πήγα στα άγορα στην Τουρκία. Έφηγα πιό νωρίς στις όχτω το πρωί, μετά με ττην βάρκα πήγα για μικρό ταξίδι κατά πλάτος της θάλασσας. Στις μισή ώρα ήμασταν στα δρώμα του Κας. Έπρεπε να αγοράσουμε φοτλια για το σπίτι. Έιθαμε μερικά μαγαζιά των φοτιιών αλλά δε μπορέσαμε να βρήκουμε τι θέλαμε. Επί τέλους βρήκαμε μερικές ωράιοες λάμπες. Θα τις πάρω την περασμένι Παρεσκευή.

This post is for Simon. Cherries, strawberries, bananna, kiwi fruit, pineapple, greek yoghurt and honey - all of this beside the harbour with the fisherman cleaning his nets nearby - heaven.

Αυτό είναι για το Σιμον. Κεράσια, φραούλιες, μπανανες, ακτινίδια, ανανάς, γαούρτι ελληνικό και μέλι. Όλλα μαζι δίπλα από το λιμάνι με τον αλιέα κοντά - ουράνια.
