Praia da Atalaia

We went on a tour to this fascinating beach Praia da Atalaia. There are natural rock pools that trap fish at low tide. It is just like an aquarium. They only let 25 people in the water at any one time, and closely supervise their behavior. First we were given a lecture (in Portuguese). Then we walked about 800m down a hill to the beach along a dirt track. The shallow pools form above the low water line.
