Ahhh delicious...

I went to the main markets near Ommonia Square. I walked around the stalls for fruit and vegetables, fish and meat. The photograph above is of the heads of sheep. They still had their eyes that seemed to watch me. They were for soup.

Πήγα στην μεγάλη αγορά κοντα την Ομόνοια. Περπάτησα γύρο απο τα μαγαζιά για φρούτα, λαχανικά, ψάρια και κρέας. Η φωτογραφία πάνω από είναι κεφάλια των πρόβατων. Είχαν ματιά που κοίταξα εμένα. Ήταν για σούπα.

Dinner first night in Athens

Περίπου στις εννέα το βράδυ πήγα για βόλτα. Οι δρόμοι ήταν γεματοί των άνθροπων. βρήκα ενα εστιατόριο με τις τράπεσες έξι δίπλα από ενα μικρό πάρκο. Κάθισα στο ενα τραπεζι ανάμεσα στο πάρκο και σ'ένα μικρό δρόμο. Μέσα στο πάρκο ήταν πίο αρχαία μημεία και ενας σκύλος. Πολλοι λαοί περπατόυσαν στο δρόμο. Ήπια ενα ούζο και έφαγα μια σαλάτα χωριάτικι ενώ κοίταζα όλλους τους άνθροπους. Γύρισα στην σοφίτα στις δεκάμιση και κοίτασα μια ταινία στον υπολογιστή μουπριν βγήκα για ύπνο.

Around nine in the evening I went for a walk. The streets were full of people. I found a restaurant with tables outside beside a small park. I sat at a table between the park and a small street. In the park were ancient buildings and a dog. Many people were walking in the street. I drank ouzo, ate a Greek salad and watched the people. I returned to the studio apartment at 10.30 and watched a movie on my computer before going to sleep.

This is where I had my frappe. It is a rather attractive street and right opposite the Acropolis museum.

Αυτός ο δρόμος είναι που ήπιια το φράπε μου. Είναι αρκετά ομορφός και απεναντά το μυσέο του Ακροπολή.

Found the local cafe strip already!

When I had unpacked my suitcase I went for a walk nearby. I found a street with many cafes. I sat and had a fresh orange juice and a frappe. After I strolled around and returned to my studio apartment for a rest.

Όταν αδείαξα βαλίτσα μου πήγα για βόλτα κοντά. Έυρηκα ενα δρόμο με πολλά καφενείον. Κάθισα και ήπια φρέσκο χίμο πορτοκάλιων και φράπε. Μετά περπάτησα γύρο και γύρισα στο μικρό διαμέρισμα σε σοφίτα για να ξεκουραστώ.

Athens Studios view from balcony

I arrived in Athens at 3. I caught the train from the airport to the centre. There were lots of people on the train. At every stop more people got on the train. At the centre, Syntagma, I struggled against all the people with my large suitcase. A man in a wheelchair got on just as I was trying to get off and I nearly couldn't get off. I nearly missed the stop. Then I went up the wrong escalator. Finally I found the platform for Acropolis. Nearby was my studio appartment. It was nice.

Έφτασα στην Αθένα στις τρέις. Πήγα με το τρένο άπο το αεροδρόμιο στο κέντρο. Ήταν πολλοί άνθροποί στο τρένο. Στην κάθε στάση πιο πολλοί άνθροποι ανέβηκαν το τρένο. Στο κέντρο, Σηνταγμα, αγωνίστηκα κατά τους λαούς με την μεγάλη βαλλιτσα μου. Ένας άνθροπος μέσα την αναπηρική πολυθρόνα ανέβηκε το τρένο όταν εγώ ήθελα να κατέβω και περίπου δεν κατέβηκα. Ύστερα ανέβηκα τα λαθεμένα σκάλα. Τελικά έυρηκα την στάση για την Ακροπολή. Κοντά ήταν το ξενοδοχείο μου. Ήταν πολύ καλό.
