January Long Weekend


The family came down to Gracetown for the long weekend. We had perfect weather, went for lots of long walks - or at least some of us did, and didn't stop eating for three days. George, Charter and Leo particularly enjoyed the walks. This is a picture of the North Point walk as we made our way down to the beach. As we got down toward the water we let Leo off the lead and he led the way. Jane and Bill joined us for dinner one night, Janne and Pip another. A great weekend.

Gracetown


We have had some great trips down to Gracetown this year. One morning on my early morning walks to Cobblestones the tide was really low and the reef exposed. I collected some abalone (too easy under those conditions) and took some great pictures. Leo loved racig across the semi-submerged reef. We came across a black swan swimming gracefully in the shallows at Huzzas. It was not at all frightened of us - although I did keep Leo on a tight leash.

Kalgoorlie Visit


Hi followers - I'm back to annoy you.
Just updating you on my trip to Kalgoorlie a few weeks ago. Winnie looked after me and showed me all around Kalgoorlie. I met some of her fellow students. We went on this amazing trip through Menzies to Lake Ballard where we saw the surreal statues installed by Anthony Gormley some years ago. It was an extremely hot afternoon and I became quite heat stressed on the lake even though it was late in the afternoon. I loved my taste of Kal
