Guggenheim

Overcast this morning and we went to the Guggenheim Museum. It is a most fascinating building on 5th Avenue overlooking Central Park. There was already a line of people waiting to enter at 10.15am. The line moved quickly. It was a stunning exhibition - not too large, able to be enjoyed in 1 session. The building is built on a spiral and is itself an exhibition. By the time we left - 3 and half hours later it was drizzling. We had spotted an interesting cafe on 7thAve and 58th Street so we made our way there for lunch - 'Le Pain Quotidien'. Delicious food with light meals centered around home baked breads - I had smoked salmon on a qhole grain bread. Afterwards we strolled down 5th Avenue the heart of the shopping district. We were amazed to see a line of people waiting in the rain to enter Abercrombie and Fitch.
