Exploring the base of Uluru

We did a fabulous walk around the base of the rock. 10.5 k around and another 8k reaching the rock and with diversions into gorges. The plant life around the rock was unique compared to the surrounding terrain. Large sections of the walk were sacred aboriginal sites so photography was not allowed. We ate lunch on the track and spent a long time in the very extensive visitors centre.
