Oodnandatta Track

This is the country we have been driving through for two days. It is so unlike WA where there are waterholes to swim in and rock formations to climb. Camping is very limited. Really only in towns. We drove 200k up this road and saw only one car in the opposite direction.
We pulled into Coward Springs which is one of the only places to stay outside the towns. Quite a charming campsite with sites nestled among low scrubby trees. The downside was a howling cold wind Bearing down over the flat landscape. We kept moving North. About 150k north of William Creek we pulled into a track - the only campsite on this stretch. We were met by tranquil waters and beautiful gums overhanging. Lots of waterbirds and fish jumping in the billabong. Algebuckina on Allendale Station.
