Wilpena Pound

Slept in till 8.30 -amazing. Went for short walk then packed up gear and hit the road. Went through the notorious Snowtown, Wilmington, Quorm then Hawker. Followed the Flinders rRanges in the distance. Not the most exciting road visually. Then reached Wilpena Pound. I can always remember mum and dad talking about it.....it's a geological formation like a crater. We entered the pound and set up camp in camping area. We walked almost to the summit but strong winds, threatening rain and fading light stopped us short. The trees are beautiful.
