Mount Remarkables Flinders Rangers SA

Conference finished midday Sunday 3rd July. We grabbed some sandwiches for the road. We checked out of the Hilton and packed the van with meat, cheeses and fruit I had bought from the markets the day before. Then to Coles next door for a serious shop and we hit the road. We headed north following the ocean up the Ayre Peninsular alongside Spencers Gulf. The road was dull and flat with strong head winds. As we passed Port Pirie the Flinders Ranges arose to the west. 45km north of PP after about a three hour drive into strong headwinds, we turned off into the Mount Remarkable National Park.
Set up the van and enjoyed camembert and Sav Blanc from the Adelaide Hills region (Bird in the Hand Winery). Freezing..
