The Painted Desert

We drove about 70 k over flat plains to these amazing rock formations. Fabulous colours and shapes arising out of the desert. We walked a loop over the crest and down the valleys. The plant life was superb. We checked out the accommodation at the station and it was a boring bare paddock.
